Dear EOPS Student,

Congratulations!  This letter confirms your eligibility to participate in the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP), effective fall 2009. Your admission to EOP is contingent upon your admission to the University and meeting all requirements still in progress.

Please follow the steps below to assure a smooth transition to our campus. As an EOP student you are eligible for tutoring, use of Computer Lab ( paper provided free ), personal counseling/advising, as well as a broad series of workshops designed to guide and direct your career interests. Graduate students and Faculty Mentors, from our Faculty Student Mentor Program, will also be available to assist you. Please read the information below carefully.

Please review the attached EOP Agreement form. If you are NOT in agreement with the EOP requirements, you will not be eligible for the program.  Please inform the EOP Office by calling 916-278-6183 or e-mail ortegad@csus.edu within one week of receiving this letter.

If you are in agreement with the EOP requirements and wish to attend Sacramento State as an EOP student, please visit http://www.csus.edu/eop  to review our program services and staff, all of whom are here to guide you throughout your enrollment at Sacramento State. This site also provides a general overview of the programs and services available to you as an EOP student.

In order to introduce ourselves and our program, we are inviting you to our “EOP Transfer Success Day” on June 3rd from 9:00 – 11:30, please see attached flyer.

Our primary goal is to provide you with the guidance and support to help you progress toward successful fulfillment of your academic and personal plans. Should you have any questions, please contact the EOP Office at (916) 278-6183.

Students that attend this event will receive a $200 book scholarship if they agree to enroll in an EOP Learning Community for the Fall 2009 semester. More details on the learning community will be provided at this event.
